BIO

I am a performing singer/songRighter/storylistener/storyteller

(no, I didn't misspell it btw)

Col. Bruce Hampton, Lyle Lovett, Chris Knight, Band of Heathens and Jason Isbell are just a few of the diverse artists I have opened for. Starring role in the full-length feature Documentary, COMMIT TO THE SONG: The Joe Thomas Jr. Guitar Pull available on Amazon Prime. I have performed at the Blue Bird Cafe' in Nashville as well as many high profile songwriter events around the country.

Influenced by songwriters such as Townes Van Zandt, Tom T. Hall (no relation) John Prine, Steve Earle, Guy Clarke, Jackson Brown, Muddy Waters, Lightnin' Hopkins, Eric Clapton, J.J. Cale, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Stephen Allen Davis (a best friend), James Taylor, The Eagles, The Allman Brothers, and Merle Haggard just to name a few.

And along the way I was the founder/owner of High Ridge Spirits along with my friend Jamie Ray, the first legal whiskey distillery built in Alabama in 100 years with our whiskey being served at the United Nations in New York for Apple CEO Time Cook's fiftieth birthday party.

My songs are lyric and story driven and usually accompanied by their stories on stage.

Never do I forget when performing, its not about me but my audience and their experience at my show.
